THE SEX UNEDUCATED: On Purity Education and Its... →
saynathespiffy: theskinofourteeth: daleksanddaisies: Hey guys. Let’s talk about purity. I was raised in a Baptist church in the Deep South. I had a purity ring, and most of my bookshelf was stuffed with titles about “wearing white” and being “pure” and do you know what? The choice to not have sex until marriage is 100% valid and no one should make fun of or belittle it.  However— and...

wilcoclahas asked: "So basically, it’s sexism and bad characterization that’s the problem, and not actually MPDGs." YES. That.

UNTAGGED SPIDERS ALL UP IN MY DASH. ONE LAST NIGHT AND ANOTHER ONE THIS MORNING. PLEASE TAG THEM. Every time I see a spider I have to go through this whole process of getting all worked up and then being jumpy and nervous and constantly looking behind me and feeling like something’s crawling on me and it takes me like half an hour at least to calm down.

Mark Reads Twilight
My position on Twilight was this: I had shallowly enjoyed the books the first time I read them. I think I’ve only read the first one more than once. And I wasn’t a raving fan and I thought (and still think) that the movies pretty much sucked but I was content to admit I found the books an enjoyable read. HOWEVER I recently bought the Mark Reads Twilight ebooks on Kindle and have been...

Work Post!
I took some pictures at both places of employment today and I thought I’d share them. So if you’re interested… I work at Old Navy in the early morning, as a stocker. I help unpack boxes, take out the trash/recycling and stock the shelves and racks, mostly all before the store is open to customers, so sometimes there are opportunities to be silly. Today me, Heather, and Anna put...

secretsantanbn: (Just submitting this on Tumblr for later historical reference.)  For midgi: You should message CodeBot on IRC with the friendly command !hello. After that, input some code. He’ll read and run your Javascript programs! (As a simple example, you could create a new program and give him this code: print(Hello…); print(…world!!!); and he would be able to run it and return...

love you best when you are savage and bitter: So,... →
savageandbitter: So, the guy who standardised the spelling of English (or, y’know, wrote the first English dictionary) was a British guy called Johnson; the American equivalent was a guy called Webster, and he wrote his like about 70 years after Johnson, because he disagreed with a lot of Johnson’s spellings. …
