I feel like I should make one of those to-do list blogs like BB did. On the one hand I would feel like a big fat copycat, but on the other hand it’s a good idea and there’s so much stuff I want to do that I seem to only think of when I’m at work or just about to go to bed. I probably will.
I found a post I had been looking for while I was looking back through my blog and is there seriously NO WAY to favorite a post from your own blog? The only thing it links me to is other people’s blogs who have also posted it and that does not help me as I STILL HAVE TO SEARCH BACK THROUGH THEIR BLOGS TO FIND IT. All I want is to store it in my favorites so I can refer back to it.
Tumblr, your concept is beautiful but HOLY CRAP DOES YOUR DESIGN EVER SUCK ASS.
I was just thinking about how some Christians are SO hypocritical (the crazy ones that I wish didn’t get to represent my religion, just a disclaimer) about spreading the gospel. It’s so obvious that all they want to do is like, win some sort of contest in their heads or make themselves seem better in comparison to other people. I would just like to tell tumblr that that is NOT what Christianity is about. It’s not about intolerance and hate and picketting funerals and telling you what you can and cannot do.
Christianity is all about LOVE. It’s beautiful and incredible. It’s based on loving your enemies; being willing to DIE for people who have done nothing but wrong toward you, because the same has already been done for you. It’s about the mission to spread that kind of love to the world. It should be the most accepting of any religion. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done in your life, you should be welcome in any church. It doesn’t matter who you are, NOBODY IS PERFECT, LITTERALLY. I’m not going to stop in the middle of that sentance and look at a picture of like, Adam Young or Johnny Depp because they aren’t either.
It just makes NO SENSE what the hypocritical Christians do. You can tell they are doing it for all the wrong reasons because it just doesn’t make any logical sense. First of all, forcing people to act like you want them to by making it illegal not to DOES NOT HELP ANYONE. People who are determined to do whatever it is will find a way to do it anyway, and EVEN IF IT DID STOP THEM that means nothing. Christianity is NOT about actions. It’s about changing your heart to love. When you love God and you love your fellow man you will WANT to do good things. stopping people doing bad things doesn’t change their heart. This is one of the main reasons I am neither Republican nor Democrat. I tip my hat to the fact that many republicans are Christian, but I also support some of the stuff on the democratic ticket such as gay rights because I believe in the separation of church and state. I want actual freedom in my government. I want the law not to reflect one certain religion, because it’s all well and good for Christians until the government decides to support some other religion, or to actively support atheism over religion (which it sometimes seems like we’re overcompensating in this direction). I don’t think everything that is legal is right, but I also don’t think everything that is wrong should be illegal.
Second of all, IN WHAT CRAZY MESSED-UP UNIVERSE DOES SHOUTING AT SOMEONE THAT GOD (read: you) HATES THEM BECAUSE THEY’RE A FAG MAKE THEM WANT TO JOIN YOUR SIDE? Just how does that work in your head? You are lying to them and you are communicating to them that Christianity represents hatred and intolerance. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? It reads “For God so loved the WORLD” not “For God so loved all the straight people”. And I’m pretty sure God hates lying just as much as any other sin. I hear he’s not too keen on false prophets either. Everybody sins. Why don’t you focus on the actual problem. And you may want to start with yourself, as you’ve obviously got some pretty big issues to work on. Why are the sins of gay people or women who abort their babies any worse than your sins?
This has been a rant on “Christians”, by a Christian. I hope this gives you something to think about the next time you feel like directing a complaint or a taunt at the entire religion of Christianity. I’m not in the minority of Christians. I’m just in the part that doesn’t get on the news.
Or maybe Sailor Moon, I watched a bit of that as a kid.
DOES Pokemon count? :’D
It’s either that or Fullmetal Alchemist. I remember secretly staying up late with my sister and watching tv in my room with the volume turned down really low so we wouldn’t get caught. We’d watch Whose Line is it Anyway, and then FMA came on after that so if we weren’t too sleepy we’d watch that too.
